Welcome to The Daily F’log, the new blog about all things Fotolog! This is the place you can read regular posts highlighting all kinds of interesting and cool images—and people—on Fotolog. We’ll bring you a lot of great photos that you might have missed otherwise, and tell you about new projects, shows, or books your fellow Fotologgers are involved with. (And if we don’t know about it, tell us!) We’ll also have short items on art and photography news and events, and occasional reports on new cameras and other tech gadgets.
Longer features will include Interviews with Fotologgers that provide a more intimate snapshot than we normally get to see, going behind the scenes to get their thoughts and opinions on photography, Fotolog, and anything else on their mind. Special Portfolios accompanying some of these interviews will offer the member a chance to show a selection of his or her work in a new, more concentrated context.
Upcoming posts will feature a new book on Hurricane Katrina, an Interview with Fotologger Virgorama, and the story of the Chilean school protests last spring, and how Fotolog was involved.
We’ll also venture out into the world at large to interview non-Fotolog members from many fields of creativity—filmmakers, writers, activists, entrepreneurs, journalists, musicians—to get their takes on issues like privacy, self-expression, and digital communities. And our F/F Interviews, where two members get together, either in person or via email or IM, and interview each other, will be loose, creative, and lots of fun.
As we get up and running, we’ll break out more ideas and features, including having Guest Bloggers take over the page for a day. So please check out The Daily F’log every day—and let us know what you think!
